Episode Transcript

Dr. Jennifer Hintzsche, PhD

Founder and CEO of PherDal

Refusing to take the word "infertile" as her diagnosis, Dr. Jenn Hintzsche is on a mission to bring an affordable infertility option to those who need it most. Hintzsche is a wife, mother, innovator, and passionate advocate for women’s health. She was Northern Illinois University’s first recipient of a doctoral degree in bioinformatics (a field of study that combines computer science and biology) in 2014 after obtaining a Master's Degree in the same subject.

As the author of over two-dozen peer-reviewed scientific articles, her work has been cited over 500 times in respected science journals for her clinical expertise. Dr. Jenn was diagnosed with unexplained infertility in 2017 and was told expensive fertility options were her only chance at conceiving. Hintzsche and husband Ryan invented and conceived their daughter using their patent-pending PherDal kit in just two months. PherDal aims to bridge the gap between traditional conception and more invasive, expensive fertility treatments offered in clinics by offering the first sterile FDA-cleared over-the-counter assisted reproduction kit of its kind. Dr. Jenn and her team are building families through science.
